coffee crawl of san luis obispo

It's not easy to choose the place which will keep you jazzed for the day. Here's a guide for some of the town (and personal) favorites located in Downtown San Luis Obispo as well as bonus locations throughout the county. Each one presents it's own flavor (coffee and people!) but they're all dedicated to building a community and keeping in touch with the people who call this place home.
San Luis Obispo
-
The top of the list. If the town is blanketed in fog or the sun is out to play, Field Day is the place where people gather for conversation and community. On top of that, they make a killer oat latte.
-
The scene: a whimsical courtyard space complete with a small pond and a wall of vibrant flowers. People are studying, reading, or conversing. Linnaea's wide selection of coffee drinks and baked goods is the home-like and familiar feel we needed to start our morning. The only thing missing? You and a friend stepping through the door.
-
One of the most popular coffee shops in town for students and families alike, Scout offers the most delectable array of baked goods. If you're feeling like I am most mornings, I'll need a zingy Scout cold brew to start my day.
-
A nod to the bustling neighborhood in Berlin which is its namesake, Kreuzberg has always been focused on being able to provide their patrons with an espresso to get the day going, a great food menu to keep the energy up, and at the end of the day perhaps a nightcap with friends.
-
Last but not least, Nautical Bean presents a wild array of pop culture and signature drinks. Including skateboards, retro lunch boxes (as in the tin boxes with your favorite movie characters on it), and framed television classics. Their iconic house coffee blend is like a familiar blanket for everyone returning for their favorite exotic drink or mouth-watering food item.

Located in Arroyo Grande, Banner is the perfect stopping point on your way up the 101. Their open and inviting atmosphere and great coffee is the perfect combination. In short, it’s a must.

Scorpion Bay Coffee was first introduced to me as the place with the most interesting latte I’d ever partake in. It was true, their signature drink (Scorpion Latte) is what keeps causing me to return to the surfer-owned and operated shop right in Pismo Beach.
-
Sibling of Kreuzberg, Kraken provides the relaxed atmosphere of Central Coast living, with the addition of ocean views with your morning brew.

A staple cafe located in Pismo Beach, Honeymoon Cafe has served its community for over 40 years…and counting! They aim to provide the best food and work with the seasons accordingly. This unassuming place is a beautiful part of the community.
